Radar Screen

I received a request for a "Radar" type overhead pass screen. Here it is:

Essentially this is what a pass will look like over your "home" location.

The edge of the "radar" plot represents the horizon. The brown circle represents 30° elevation,  the yellow circle 60° degrees the crosshairs (center) would be directly overhead at 90° elevation.

The green line is the satellite track over your location. A green circle anchors the pass line at the rise point, a red circle denotes the setting point. The satellite is the yellow circle plotted along that line above, however the color changes once a second to further highlight and differentiate the satellite.

You must first open the tracking screen for the computations to be made. If that screen is in the way, you will have to leave it open but you can minimize it.

If you run a pass prediction you can select any pass and it will be displayed on this screen as well as the Tracking Screen.

If the satellite is currently below the horizon, then the track over head is blank however the satellite is plotted on the screen at its current azimuth position along the circumference (horizon) of the display and the text display of the elevation shows negative.

This is a sizable screen. The size and position is memorized and will be used each time the screen is opened.
