Pass Schedule

By clicking on Pass Schedule on the Tracking screen, you can open this form. There are four  choices: 12 hour, 24 hour,  48 hour and 96 hour pass prediction.

Double click on a pass number or the first entry in a pass and the Tracking Screen will change to show that pass with the satellite positioned at its rise position. If you double click on any other entry for a pass, the Tracking Screen will display the pass with the satellite positioned over your location at the time of the entry on this screen. The selected pass is highlighted in pink, and the specific time selected is highlighted in red. The Zenith of the pass is always highlighted in green even if you double click on it to display the satellite's location at zenith over your position.

If you leave this screen open, and select another satellite from anywhere in the program, the tracking screen will revert to "Real Time" mode. If you then double click on any entry on this screen, a prompt will appear indicating you have changed satellites and need to update the pass prediction.

Closing this screen restores the tracking screen to "Real Time" mode.

If you set the Tracking display to Static time, the passes will be generated starting with the time entered on that display.

If a satellite is CURRENTLY above the horizon, the program backtracks to the rise of that satellite and calculates the schedule from that time. So, in that case, a 24 hour window might start sometime prior to the current system or "Static Set" time.

If a satellite is NOT currently above the horizon then the program starts looking forward in time. When it finds the first rise time of a satellite, it begins building the schedule from that time. So, if you select a 24 hour schedule and the satellite does not rise for 2 hours, you (in effect) get a 26 hour schedule.

If a satellite either does not rise, or does not set during the span of time selected for pass prediction, a message to that effect is displayed on this screen.
